Our MISSION is what guides our daily programs and services to fulfill that purpose. The mission of People Helping People is to help meet the basic needs of Burlington, MA’s at-risk residents. We do this through sustained community-wide efforts focused on providing hunger relief, emergency financial aid, and holiday support.
Our PURPOSE drives our long-term commitment to the community. Our PURPOSE is to establish and sustain a community-wide effort to help meet the basic needs of residents of the Town of Burlington, thereby strengthening the community as a whole.
86% of donations collected go directly to support Burlington residents in urgent financial situations. People Helping People operates solely on donations.
People Helping People is a non-profit, predominantly volunteer support program. PHP is the umbrella organization overseeing the Burlington Community Food Pantry, The Burlington Covenant for Basic Needs and the Holiday Program. As a community, we strive to address the needs of those who find themselves in difficult financial circumstances by providing them with basic needs and more importantly compassion, understanding, and support.
