The pantry is available to any Burlington residents who meet certain financial qualifications to be eligible for assistance. The pantry operates as a drive-thru, where food is largely custom packed while families wait in their car. Each family is asked a list of questions about their food preferences for the week. This list will guide the volunteers as they custom pack the food from what is available at any given time and within family size allocations. We ask that families please arrive with space in their trunk for us to load up the food. If anyone has been quarantined or lack transportation, please call 781-270-6625 to make special arrangements.
Currently, the pantry serves between 150 to 200 Burlington families per month, or around 550 people, we have seen a 30% increase in request due to COVID-19. While a slight majority of those served are adults, 40 percent are children and 15 percent are seniors.
The pantry has more than 200 volunteers, including people from outside of Burlington. More volunteers are always welcome, especially those with vehicles who can assist with picking up donations and help make deliveries to clients.
